MEET THE BAND

Beanie Chacon

Drums and Band Leader

San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Elder Beanie Chacon’s career spans over 4 decades. Mr. Chacon has shared the stage with the likes of James Brown, Bo Diddley, Bobby Day, The Coasters, The Penguins and has played hundreds of venues throughout So Cal. Beanie started the “Best of Everything Band” and stayed true to keeping the music of the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s alive to its many fans.

Ella Faulk

Lead Vocals

“The Inland Empire’s Queen of Soul” Ella has graced stages throughout So Cal for many years. Her infectious smile and amazing vocal “chops” puts her a cut above the rest. Ella has shared the stage with Chaka Khan and worked with songwriter/producer Norman Whitfield. A few of the notable groups Ella was with: Undisputed Truth and Buster Bump. Her emotional rendition of “I’d Rather Go Blind” is featured on The BOE Band’s recent CD.

Alex Cabrera

Trumpet, Flugel Horn, and Vocals

Alex Cabrera is an accomplished trumpet and flugel horn player from Los Angeles California. He studied with the late great lead trumpet player Cat Anderson of the Duke Ellington Orchestra. Alex has a great reputation in the music world as being a powerful lead player with many recording and film credits to his name. Alex has shared the stage with such greats as George Clinton, Michael McDonald and REO Speedwagon. He has also met & performed for the President of the United States.

Richard Ramos

Saxes and Vocals

We call him “Sr. Walker” Richard unmistakable tone and solo work puts an musical exclamation point to the BOE Band’s sound. Richard comes to us with 4 decades of experience playing with top So Cal bands. Richard’s a seasoned Pro that can “tear it up” when called upon and is a huge part of The BOE Band’s sound.

Piete Miller

Keyboards and Lead Vocals

Piete is the newest addition to the B.O.E. Band. He has been singing and playing keyboards for over 30 years. Piete has had the honor of sharing the stage with The Whispers, Natalie Cole, Club Nouveau, the Dazz Band, Tower of Power, just to name a few. He has performed for a number of the Southern California Jazz Festivals. His keys are black and white, but you can hear that his fingers must do what the heart desires.

Art Sanchez

Bass and Musical Director

Art has been in the music industry for over 40 years. In the late 60’s he co-founded “Old Tyme Religion” which recorded for Warner Bros Records. That band morphed into the East L.A. Rock Band “Yaqui” with Playboy Records. He has opened up for acts such as, Linda Ronstadt, Cheech and Chong, and Jose Feliciano. He also backed up Frank “Cannibal” Garcia and the “Head Hunters” for a Pacific Northwest/Canada tour. He is B.O.E.’s Musical Director for the past year and his ear for melody is spot on.

Ron Reyes

Lead Guitar and Vocals

Ron has been playing guitar for 45 years plus…Throughout the years he has signed with 2 major record companies, Warner Bros. and Playboy Records. He was lead guitar for several distinguished bands such as, Cannibal and the Head Hunters, The Platters, The Drifters, Tiny Tim and several others. In the last year he joined The B.O.E. Band and he uses every sound the guitar can make to the fullest.

Tomoka Jarvis

Sax and Flute

Tomoka is an outstanding sax and flute player. She has had so many accomplishments in her musical career. Tomoka worked with Armed Forces Entertainment, performing in over 40 countries for soldiers, ambassadors and other diplomats at numerous military functions. Now she is working as a teaching artist giving workshops in elementary schools in Los Angeles Area for “Dream A World Education” led by Grammy Award winner Bunny Hull. We’re ecstatic to have such a talented musician as part of the B.O.E. Band!

Nancy Gonzalez – Promotions

Nancy comes to us with a background of casino operations and is responsible for the maintenance and promotions of The BOE Band business. She keeps our clients and fans up to date with the bands activities and appearances.

Sergio Gonzalez – Song Tech and Road Manager

Our newest addition, Sergio makes sure there’s optimum sound continuity from venue to venue. He also makes sure the band gets what they need, when they need it to make sure of a good show! Welcome Aboard, Sergio!
